After LeAnn Rimes posted a picture to Twitter showing Eddie Cibrian down on one knee, many wondered if the pop star was trying to tell the world that she and Cibiran were getting ready to tie the knot.
Now, E! Online is reporting that the two are indeed engaged. “The recently divorced actor indeed popped the question recently and the duo are engaged,” writes E!, citing a source close to the couple.
It it’s true, it would be the latest development in the couple’s whirlwind relationship. They met on the set of Hallmark movie Northern Lights while both were married, and eventually left their respective spouses to be with each other.
Rimes, talking to ABC’s Robin Roberts, said that it was out of character for her. “That’s just not me. What happened is not who I am, period. I do know how much I love him. So, I’ve always said I don’t live my life with regret. I can’t.”
So far, no word from either Rimes or Cibrian on whether they have decided to take the next step. We’ll wait and see what the reps for Rimes and Cibrian have to say.
