In real life, Hilary Duff may be sweet as can be, but she says getting the chance to get a little mean on Community has been great.
On Thursday night’s episode of the hit NBC sitcom, Duff plays an alpha female who wanders into the halls of Greendale Community College and immediately stars terrorizing the series regulars.
Duff had a blast doing it. “I haven’t really done anything where I got to be a b—h before,” Duff said to Us Weekly. “It wasn’t that I had to do so much preparation — everyone’s had someone be mean to them before — but it was just exciting to play something different.”
It’s even been enough to make Duff yearn for being on TV a bit. “Getting that little taste of TV again made me miss it,” she said. “It reminded me that the hours are really long, but in a good way. Everyone on set was very close and I miss knowing that you’re going to see the same people each day, [and] you’re going to be able to come home and sleep in your own bed at night. I’d definitely do TV again if the right project came along.”
