Carrie Underwood and Mike Fisher are still in the honeymoon glow their recent marriage, but Underwood says people are already asking when she’s planning on having a child. Short answer: not any time soon.
“Whenever you’re dating someone, it’s like, ‘When are they getting married? When are they getting married?’” says Underwood in an interview with Entertainment Tonight. “As soon as you get married, [it's], ‘When are you having babies?’”
“We are not planning on it for a while,” said Underwood. “We both want to enjoying being married. I don’t think it would be fair to our kid to bring a child into our lives right now. We both need to slow down first, and we don’t want to right now.”
Of course, anything can happen. “You never know what God has in store, and you can make all the plans you want to,” she said. “But at the end of the day, whatever’s going to happen is going to happen.”
